Psalms 101:6:
Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect [complete, sound] way, he shall serve me.
Proverbs 28:20:
A faithful man shall abound with blessings....
One of the most valuable traits or qualities in a person’s life is faithfulness. These scriptures help us see that God respects and honors faithfulness in the life of an individual, and He brings forth an abundance of blessings to believers who exhibit this attribute.
“Faithful” carries the meaning of firm, steady, and steadfast. Those who demonstrate these attributes in regard to the service of God can fully expect to have an abundance in every area of life. They will have enough to meet every need and abound with blessings and prosperity so that they can give to and serve others. This is because God is faithful.
I Corinthians 1:9:
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
God is faithful to bring His promises to pass in our lives when we trust, believe, and serve Him. Because God is faithful and trustworthy, His Word is also faithful.
Titus 1:9:
Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught....
A tremendous aspect of our faithful service to God and to others is holding fast the Word of God and holding it forth.
Philippians 2:15,16:
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;Holding forth the word of life....
Let’s consider three important actions we can take to remain faithful in our service to God and to others:
• Stay in God’s Word
• Stay thankful
• Stay aware that we do it for God
